Salt & Pepper has looked after the PR for The Coffee Club since 2013. This involves a combination of consumer and business/trade communications. Among other things, we have organised for the winner of The Coffee Club KidsCan Christmas Cups competition winner to be interviewed on Good Morning. We have held New Zealand’s first National Comfort Food Day, which included running a nationwide The Coffee Club survey, to discover what Kiwis really eat when they’re feeling low. The result was mass media coverage, including a page 3 spot in the Sunday Star Times, and an article in The Press, along with lots of discussion on various blogs. We also co-ordinated the publicity around their 50th store opening in 2015, attracting huge interest from consumer, and trade publications.
From a B2B perspective, we have also helped them reach new franchisees, and business partners, by securing interview spots in publications such as Idealog, Stuff – Business, NZ Herald – Business, The Press, Waikato Times and Dominion Post. The Coffee Club is now one of the most successful models in the country and has won the Supreme award at the Franchise Awards for the last two years.
