We ran a six-month awareness raising campaign for Rafting New Zealand, a white water rafting NZ tourism business based in Taupo, to boost bookings in the run up to the summer season.
Salt & Pepper created a six-month editorial calendar for the brand, capitalising on unique offerings and events provided by Rafting New Zealand. This included their Waikato Thermal Float (a rafting experience that can be enjoyed by young children and their families), and the launch of their Upper Tongariro River Raft-Fishing season.
Coverage was widespread and immediate, with successful pitches to a number of high-profile publications. Stories were published in Adventure Magazine, Auckland for Kids, Stuff, Boating NZ Magazine, NZ Herald (travel section), NZ Business, Australasian Leisure Management and The Concrete Playground, among many others. We also organised a media famil for travel writer, Alexia Santamaria, which resulted in a two-page spread in the Herald on Sunday (also, published online).
Monthly coverage, which would have cost tens of thousands to purchase if advertising, ensured that Rafting New Zealand had maximum publicity amongst its key domestic audiences (both consumers and investors/B2B) in the crucial run up to the start of its summer season.
