Since I founded Salt & Pepper back in 2012, I have received many private coaching requests. These queries have come from business owners and managers wanting to learn more about public relations – including how to put together effective strategies, and how to develop their own relationships with media. I have also had emails from an ever-growing number of employed professionals, looking to follow in my footsteps and start their own consulting businesses (which I wholeheartedly recommend, by the way!)
After five years of running and growing Salt & Pepper into a successful consultancy, I have decided it’s time to give back to the industry that has been so good to me, and pass on some of my learnings and advice. If I can demystify PR for just a few people, or help some consultants wanting to give up the traditional 9-5 and do their own thing, I will sleep happily and very soundly at night!
Who might benefit from PR coaching?
If you are a business owner or manager keen to develop more of an understanding of PR and how to run your own campaigns, then coaching is a great way to expand your own skills. I can teach you the secret to obtaining unpaid editorial coverage, resulting in thousands of dollars worth of media coverage – both in New Zealand and overseas. You will learn how to get in front of your most important audiences – whether they are customers, investors, government decision makers, or other key stakeholders. I am also more than happy to help you with specific challenges. You might have drafted a PR strategy that you want to talk through with an expert, you could have a crucial media interview coming up that you want to be perfectly prepared for, or you might need to hone your personal or company brand identity.
I also coach employed consultants interested in flying the nest and working for themselves. If that sounds like you, then coaching will help you decide when to jump ship and strike out on your own. It will also teach you how to find your first clients, and how to grow your consulting business.
How does PR coaching work?
We start with an initial chat (which is free of charge) to establish exactly what you need. You will then receive an email from me with a fully personalised coaching structure recommendation.
I have developed a range of coaching options to suit most requirements and budgets. My fee varies depending on what you need, how regularly you require coaching, and whether the sessions take place in person or via Skype, phone or email.
Please feel free to email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. Alternatively, you can schedule an initial free Skype meeting or phone call using this booking form: PR COACH CALENDAR. If you are receiving on-going coaching, you can also use the calendar to book your times.
I look forward to working with you soon.
